Kalisz Radiotherapy Centre is a GPCC’s branch. The Centre provides radiation therapy to patients with diagnosed malignancies in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Hospitalised treatment is carried out in cooperation with the Clinical Oncology Department of the Kalisz Provincial Polyclinic Hospital. The Centre houses a Radiotherapy Unit, Oncology Clinic and Chemotherapy Clinic where diagnostic tests are performed, cancer patients are qualified for treatment, followed up, and treated with radio- and chemotherapy. The Unit is equipped with two accelerators, a CT machine for treatment planning and a simulator. We provide treatment of CNS, breast, gastrointestinal and cancers, Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas, head and neck, soft tissue, bone, lung, skin and urinary-genital cancers.
Cancer treatment requires a highly specialised multidisciplinary team. The Kalisz Radiotherapy Centre employs a team of four physicians, six medical physicists, six radiologic technologists, three nurses plus eight administration and support staff.
