Case report:
Patient, 57 years old, with prostate cancer (T2N0M0), after External Beam Radiation Therapy (total dosis - 50 Gy, fraction dosis - 2 Gy), was qualified for "boost" using HDR brachytherapy. Histopathology: Adenocarcinoma G2, Gleason 3+3=6, i-PSA 4.1 ng/ml. Prostate size: 44x29x39mm, volume - 26 ml. In general anaesthesia 18 steel needles were inserted into prostate under TRUS control. Treatment plan was prepared using new Oncentra Prostate treatment planning system ("real-time" planning). Single dose of 15 Gy/capsulae of prostate was given. We didn't observe any complications.
