From December 6-8, 2023, another edition of the course "Cancer Registration in Poland" took place in Warsaw. Employees of the Greater Poland Cancer Registry actively participated in it both as participants and lecturers. This year, Mr. Maciej Trojanowski and Mr. Łukasz Taraszkiewicz had the pleasure of presenting various topics, including:
- New ENCR guidelines regarding the collection of data on the basis of diagnosis.
- New ENCR guidelines regarding the collection of data on the date of cancer diagnosis and methods of anticancer treatment.
- Practical tips for processing data from the e-KRN+ module using NLP tools in the process of extracting data from medical documentation.
- Coding of cancer stage according to the TNM classification in the new e-KRN+ application.
- New ENCR guidelines (2023) concerning the reporting and registration of tumors of the urinary system.
After a pandemic hiatus, the course was also an opportunity to refresh contacts and get to know new members of the team.
