The high-tech device by Accuray, US, worth nearly PLN 22 million, is available for patients of our Centre. A rapid development of radiotherapy resulted in the creation of a robotic accelerator that provides a significant support for classic surgery. There are just a few hundreds of such machines worldwide, with only three of them in Poland (Gliwice, Pozna\u0144 and Wieliszew near Warsaw) CyberKnife is designed for two groups of cancer patients: those with a high chance for long lasting recovery and, therefore, subjected to radical treatment and those with advanced stage of cancer.
